The School Uniform Project

The Uniform Project is about tackling the high cost of school uniforms and creating more environmental sustainability through creating a route to recycle quality, cleaned and repaired clothes to families in need.

The Uniform Project was founded by a mum in Nottingham who pulled together a passion for a more environmentally sustainable world with a growing need to help families who struggle to afford school clothes for their children.

This project collects school uniform donations all year round, quality checks them, cleans and repairs them before distributing them to families who can put the uniforms to good use. We partner with 30 schools across the city and have redistributed 2 tonnes worth of clothes (that would otherwise be in landfills) to around 150 families a year. Now in its second year.

We are always seeking donations of clothes as well as volunteers to help!
