🌟 Dignity in Every Dish
This autumn, you can help us put dignity in every dish by sponsoring hot meals for those in need at the Himmah Hub in Nottingham. With an open-door policy and a mission to serve five days a week, the Hub is a warm, welcoming space where everyone is treated with care and respect.
Your support means no one is turned away hungry. It’s more than food, it’s nourishment, connection, and comfort.
Why This Matters
No one should have to face hunger alone. Yet right here in Nottingham, families, pensioners, refugees, and people experiencing homelessness are going without a warm, nourishing meal. Rising living costs, energy bills, and food prices are pushing our neighbours into crisis.
Every week, the Himmah Hub serves 520+ hot meals. For some, it’s the only meal they’ll eat that day. For others, it’s a chance to sit, share conversation, and be reminded that they are not forgotten. With your help, we aim to increase this to 1,500 meals every week.
“The best of you are those who feed others.” – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
This campaign is about more than food. It’s about mercy in action, bringing warmth, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.

🌍 Who We Serve
The faces around our tables are diverse:
- Refugees and asylum seekers far from home
- Pensioners choosing between heating and eating
- Families on low incomes
- People facing homelessness, loneliness, or poor health
Every guest is welcomed with dignity. No questions, no judgements. Just a hot meal, conversation, and kindness.
Food poverty in the UK is rising fast. In Nottingham’s Hyson Green and Arboretum ward, one of the most deprived areas in the East Midlands, child poverty rates have reached over 60%.
