Saj is Himmah’s Founder and Director and started the organisation when he saw a destitute asylum seeker trawling through bins for food. Since then, Saj committed to doing purpose-driven work overseeing Himmahs growth and has been a critical part in developing our projects and campaigns.

Jagdish is Himmah’s Head of Race, Arts and Heritage and has worked on issues related to anti-racism, social engagement, and working-class communities through the arts as well as social action work. Over the past few years, he has undertaken projects with people from the Gypsy Roma community, Asian football clubs, Muslim War Veterans, and Punjabi bar owners in the Black Country.

Nadeem is the manager of our Foodprint project, with an extensive entrepreneurial background in retail. Nadeem has been leading and developing community initiatives for the best part of 25 years.

Uzair leads the delivery of our Food Bank service, coordinating volunteers and leads the operations management of the Food Bank. He's mainly based out of our warehouse, so he's a very familiar face for anyone visiting us.

Charlie showed huge commitment with Himmah as a volunteer during his studies at University of Nottingham, supporting foodprint stores and our Food Bank. He gained employment since graduating in 2023, now upporting our fundraising and finance teams.

Elliot has been working with Himmah since November 2020, initially as a volunteer and now as our Projects Co-ordinator. 

Safiya started at Himmah in 2022 after volunteering at our foodbank. Safiya has a background in communications and a passion for working in communities and in work that raises a standard for the marginalised.

Ahmed looks after our Foodprint store in Radford, serving customers and making sure the shelves are kept full. He also supports the work at the Food Bank and in our warehouse too.
